Where to find the match

For the record

Midwestern State (7-1-2) is unbeaten its nine matches since falling 1-0 to Incarnate Word on an own goal in the season opener.

The Mustangs have posted seven-straight shutouts and have blanked the opposition eight times this season.

MSU matched a 19-year-old school record by posting its seventh-straight shutout in Friday's 1-0 win over Incarnate Word and can take sole ownership of the program record with a shutout of St. Edward's on Sunday.

St. Edward's is still looking for its first win of the season but don't be fooled, the Hilltoppers have played a monster of a schedule.

SEU has faced ranked opposition in six of seven matches this season, earning draws with current No. 15 Colorado Mines 1-1 on Sep. 13 in Austin and 0-0 with Eastern New Mexico on Sep. 18.

The Hilltoppers have lost their last two matches which includes a 1-0 loss to No. 10 Truman (Mo.) on Sep. 20 and a 3-0 loss at No. 16 West Texas A&M Friday night in Canyon.

Who's hot

Junior goalkeeper Raul Herrera garnered Lone Star Conference Defender of the Week honors for the second time this season after notching his sixth shutout in a scoreless draw with Texas A&M International at the MSU Soccer Field.

Herrera has not allowed a goal in 650:13 of clock time and has played a key role in leading the nation's top defense as the Mustangs boast a 0.21 goals against average.

The transfer from Richland College rates second in NCAA Division II with a 0.237 goals against average and is seventh in the nation with a .905 save percentage.

Senior forward Nick Auditore paces the attack with six goals as nine different Mustangs have tallied goals this season.

Junior midfielder Paulo Teixeira, sophomore forward Tex McCullough and senior forward Bryan Sajjadi have each knocked in two goals.

Redshirt freshman Dean Lovegrove tops the Mustangs with three assists.

About the series

Midwestern State and St. Edward's meet for the 27th occasion on the pitch Sunday afternoon at the MSU Soccer Field.

The Mustangs own a 22-3-1 edge in the series and have won the last 11 matches between the schools including a 1-0 result earlier this season in Austin.
