DENTON, Texas - Midwestern State's
Lindsey Voigt busted out of her early season slump with three hits and her first home run of the season as the Mustangs claimed a 5-2 win over Texas Woman's Saturday in the Texas Woman's Tournament at Pioneer Field.
Senior
Ashley Kuchenski allowed two runs - one earned - on eight hits while striking out one and walking one in complete game win to improve to 2-0.
Maranda Bishop,
Kristen Stonecipher and
Jessica Rodriguez added two hits each as the Mustangs racked up 10-or-more hits for the third-straight game.
Midwestern State closes the TWU Tournament with games against Central Missouri at 11:30 a.m. and West Texas A&M at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
