Staten had hit just 3-of-26 (11.5 percent) from the arc going into Saturday's contest in Kingsville.
Angelo State guard Camille Perkins poured in a season-high 35 points as the Rambelles fell at Abilene Christian 77-67 Sunday at Moody Coliseum. The freshman from Groesbeck went 8-of-18 from the field including a pair of 3's while converting 17 of her 19 charity tosses in 40 minutes of action. Perkins is in the midst of a banner frosh season as she has scored at least 13 points in each of her last 12 games while averaging 17.7 a contest during the stretch.
