DALLAS – The Midwestern State University volleyball team suffered its ninth loss of the season as Dallas Baptist University upset MSU 30-27, 30-27, 30-32, 30-27 Tuesday night at Patriot Gym.

MSU fell to 20-9 on the season with the loss, while DBU upped its record to 7-21.

Senior Kate Pence of Round Rock led MSU with 21 kills and hit .360 for the match, with freshman Shay Velasquez of Amarillo/River Road hitting .375 with 15 kills and two service aces.  Junior Candice Main of Fort Worth/Castleberry posted 14 kills with four blocks.  Freshman Allison Schreiber of Windthorst recorded 61 assists.

Dallas Baptist was paced by Jenna Pry who notched 20 kills and Brandi Moss with 15 kills and eight blocks.

MSU returns to Lone Star Conference North play on Thursday when they travel to Lawton to meet Cameron in a 7 p.m. match.
