Brenita Jackson begins her second season at the helm of the women's basketball program at Midwestern State, and is excited about the team's prospects on the eve of the season. Zarria Carter, Catalina Cortez and Kyra Speights return from last year's squad, but there is an exciting new collection of players surrounding them, including transfers and freshmen. The season begins with two games in Colorado. MSU faces UC Colorado Springs in the season opener at 2 p.m. on Friday, and visits Adams State on Saturday for a 4 p.m. start.
