STANG GANG TENNIS PODCAST with Scott Linn (Feb. 10, 2025)

Stang Gang Tennis Podcast with Scott Linn

February 10, 2025

Midwestern State head men's and women's tennis coach Scott Linn discusses the challenges his teams face week-in and week-out, and the on-court battles throughout the course of the season.

Midwestern State has begun the 2025 campaign and is facing some tough competition on the road as it prepares to challenge for the Lone Star Conference championship and more. Scott Linn has an experienced women's team that reached the national semifinals last season, and the squad is ranked No. 5 in the nation among NCAA Division II schools. The women are laser-focused on winning. The men's team is No. 19 in the nation to start the season and earned a season-opening victory at Rockhurst before playing No. 8 Washburn in a closer dual match than the 7-0 final score indicates.

Linn is not only the tennis coach this season, but he is also the father of a rising star on the Midwestern State softball team. Sydney Linn made her home debut with the Stangs while her dad was on the road with the tennis team.
