WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Midwestern State secured a 2-0 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Sunday at Stang Park, extending its home unbeaten streak to 21 games. The Mustangs outshot their opponent 24-3, with seven of those shots on goal, while notching a shutout.
Midwestern State (2-0-0) set the tone early in the first half against the Tigers, with Annabella Pillow scoring a goal in the 9th minute, assisted by
Bella Rose. Pillow's goal came shortly after a corner kick. The home team continued to apply pressure, taking multiple shots, including attempts by
Lexi Gonzales and
Morgan Countryman, though neither found the net. Ouachita (0-2-0) managed a few offensive actions but could not capitalize, keeping the score at 1-0 in favor of the Mustangs at the end of the half.
