Seth Bearden was named to the PING All-South Central Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the third consecutive year.
Bearden won the NCAA II National Preview at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder, Colorado. He finished the season with four top-five results, including a fifth-place finish during stroke play of the Lone Star Conference Championship at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club.
In 32 rounds of stroke play this season, Bearden shot par or lower 20 times and had eight rounds in the 60s. He had three sub-70 rounds, including a season low 5-under 67 in the second round at the NCAA II National Preview, and he finished 13-under 203 on his way to the title in Boulder.
Bearden led the Mustangs with 356 pars and 113 birdies, and he carded two eagles during the 11 tournaments he played this season. The native of Crowell, Texas, finished as the leading scorer for Midwestern State in eight of those tournaments.
Bearden is ranked No. 48 in the nation, and he is No. 8 in the region with a record of 788-141-26 against other NCAA Division II golfers.
