WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State is ranked No. 23 in the first spring Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll released on Friday.

The Mustangs were receiving votes in the final poll of 2025. 

Ryan Griff, Nathan Nelson and Seth Bearden all finished among the top four at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, leading Midwestern State to the title at the Rattler Invitational last month. The Mustangs finished fourth in the Houston Classic to begin its spring campaign. MSU will tee it up at the Oak Tree invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma, on March 16.

St. Mary's is No. 9 and is the highest ranked team in the Lone Star Conference. Dallas Baptist is No. 17 and West Texas A&M is No. 18. UT Permian Basin is ranked No. 25. 

West Florida, which won its first two spring tournaments, including the Las Vegas Desert Classic, is ranked No. 1, earning seven first-place votes with 401 points, five more than No. 2-ranked Lee. Grand Valley State also received seven first-place votes but is ranked No. 3 with 393 points.

Florida Southern, and Wingate rounded out the top five, while Georgia Southwestern, Central Oklahoma, Catawba, St. Mary's, and North Georgia completed the top 10.
