WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State Athletics announced Head Women's Basketball Coach, Brenita Jackson, has resigned effective immediately to pursue other endeavors. Her husband, Kevin Jackson, who served as assistant coach, will also depart the program.
 
Jackson coached over two and a half seasons for the Mustangs, holding a record of 25-51, along with a conference record of 20-38.
 
MSU women's basketball graduate assistant, Kyra Seggewiss, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. A national search for the next head women's basketball coach will begin immediately.
