WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State was tested in its home opener on Wednesday afternoon but eventually pulled out a 5-2 victory over Seward County at MSU Tennis Center.

Cesar Loeches Llamas, a freshman from Madrid, Spain, clinched the dual-match victory with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Juan Luzuriaga at No. 5 singles. Llamas and Matthew Earle completed a sweep in doubles with a 7-6 (4) win over Eytan Miessen and Meryl Genevrier.
