ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Midwestern State (1-0) defeated Cowley County CC 6-1 on Saturday during an exhibition. Midwestern State swept the doubles matches and secured five out of six singles victories to clinch the win.

Cesar Loeches Llamas and
Jose Marquez wrapped up the doubles sweep with a 6-3 result at No. 3 doubles over Guilherme Coelho and Vaughn Smith.
In singles play,
Cesar Loeches Llamas quickly put Midwestern State ahead with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles against Vaughn Smith.
Jose Marquez extended the lead with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles over Wojtek Biela.
Tomas Leguizamon added another point at No. 5 singles, defeating Guilherme Coelho 7-6(7), 6-2, and securing the victory for the Mustangs.
Bruno Sanchez added to the Mustangs advantage with a straight-sets win at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-2, over Luca Laurindo. #7 Setti added a final point with a three-set victory at No. 1 singles, overcoming Okunde 6-0, 5-7, 6-2. The Tigers' lone singles win came at No. 2 singles, where Hosono edged #33 Duque in a tightly contested match, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
