WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- No. 1-ranked Midwestern State continued to show their might in a 5-0 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Sunday afternoon.
Midwestern State only lost four total games in the three completed singles matches and dominated the doubles competition, improving its record to 11-1, and extending its dual-match winning streak to five.
Hannah Yip played No. 1 singles and clinched the dual-match victory with a 6-1, 6-1 shellacking of Taylor Conway.
Sofia Giraldo, ranked No. 14 in singles, earned a resounding 6-0, 6-0 win over Sofia Tominaga at No. 2 singles.
Sarah Mazaraki waltzed past Gracie Pereff at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Lions defaulted No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Jessica Binzari and Anda Ghing had a stress-free afternoon with a 6-2 triumph over Conway and Tominaga at No. 1 doubles. Binzari and Ghinga, two stalwarts from Romania, both sat out singles matches on Sunday.
