WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State Women's Basketball,
Kerbie Cash, and Men's Soccer's,
Jake Morris, have been recognized as MSU Student-Athletes of the Month for November, voted on by Midwestern State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Kerbie Cash, Women's Basketball, Sophomore
Cash has picked up right where they left off from last season, averaging 13.2 ppg and 7.0 rpg in opening stages of the 2025-26. The forward has been leader for the program, scoring double-digits in three of the five games they have faced. The Mustangs began conference play with a victory over Angelo State, where Cash scored a game high 23 points and added nine rebounds. The point total was the seventh time Cash scored more than 20 points in a game, while hitting a season high two three pointers, and going 7-8 at the foul line. The Wylie, Texas native was also recognized as an LSC Player to Watch ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Jake Morris, Men's Soccer, Sophomore
Morris had a standout November, helping the team journey the through the NCAA Tournament, and captured Lone Star Conference regular season and tournament championships. The Parker, Colo. native has kept four clean sheets in five matches during November, including four-straight in postseason tournaments. The goalkeeper was named LSC Tournament MVP after keeping shutout against UT Tyler (2-0) in the LSC semifinal, and Lubbock Christian (1-0) in LSC Final, making seven saves over the pair of games. Since Oct. 18, Morris has won eight consecutive matches in goal, with the team advancing to the NCAA DII Men's Soccer Final Four held in Colorado Springs, Colo.
