Men's Soccer Positioned 6th in NCAA Super Region IV Ranking

The Mustangs stand as lone LSC team in men's soccer regional rankings

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State is sixth in the Super Region 4 Rankings released on Wednesday afternoon by the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee.

The release is the second of the three published rankings during the regular season and will be followed by the unveiling of the tournament field via a selection show on NCAA.com on Monday, Nov. 17.

The opening two rounds are hosted by the top four teams in each region with the top two seeds receiving byes into the second round.

The highest remaining seed plays host for the four advancing teams and will be the site of the third round and quarterfinals.

The quarterfinal winners advance to the national semifinals set for Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Dec. 12 & 14. 

The remaining teams will be seeded using the available selection criteria.

Stanislaus State (13-1-1) tops the region followed by California State Dominguez Hills (11-2-4), Point Loma (11-3-1), Cal State LA (8-3-5), Seattle Pacific (10-3-4), Midwestern State (11-3-2), Cal State – Santa Bernadino (8-3-6), Hawaii-Hilo (8-4-2), Western Washington (7-6-3), and MSU Denver (8-4-5).

Regis (Colo.) (7-5-4) and Colorado State-Pueblo (8-2-7) rank 11th and 12th, respectively.
