This marked the Mustangs' first win over Dallas Baptist as a conference opponent, with the Mustangs' goalkeeper recording a shutout by saving all five shots on goal.
Midwestern State tied the school record for conference wins with 10, originally set in 2010. The Mustangs set a school record for points in a conference campaign with 34.
The first half commenced with Midwestern State taking an early lead at the 7th minute, thanks to a goal by
Lillia Besedin, her team-leading eighth goal of the season, assisted by
Mable Pruter. Notably, Pruter's assist was her seventh of the season and her fifth assist on a Besedin goal this year.
