Men's Soccer remain No. 8 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Men's Soccer remain inside top-10 of USC poll for the third straight week

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State Men's Soccer sits in No. 8 position for the second straight week in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, announced the association on Tuesday afternoon.

Not much movement occurred at the top end of the poll, with the top 12 teams remaining the same place. Midwestern State ended the regular season with an LSC Regular Season Championship Trophy, beating St. Mary's, 2-1, in San Antonio during regular season finale, pipping UT Dallas to the title. The conference title also earned the Mustangs the number one seed in the LSC Tournament, earning the right to host an LSC semifinal and final. St. Edward's joins the Mustangs in the poll, receiving votes, representing the LSC.

MSU are the only LSC team in the NCAA Super Region 4 rankings, with nine teams from the super region poll mentioned in the USC poll: Stanislaus St. (3), Cal. St. Dom. Hills (9), Point Loma (16), Cal State LA (RV), Seattle Pacific (RV), MSU Denver (25), Regis (RV), and CSU Pueblo (RV).

Midwestern State face (5) UT Tyler in LSC Tournament Semifinal held at Stang Park on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Kickoff between the two squads is scheduled for 5 pm.
