WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Freshman Kerbie Cash erupted for a career-high 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while senior Zarria Carter logged her fifth consecutive double-double to lead Midwestern State to a 67-61 win over Cameron Thursday for its sixth-straight victory at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

The Mustangs improved to 8-10 on the season, while moving to 6-6 in Lone Star Conference play, while Cameron lost its 12th-consecutive game to fall to 2-14 and 0-12.

MSU led from tip-to-buzzer for the second consecutive game, and used an 8-0 run powered by Carter and Cash to take a 36-24 lead into halftime.

The Mustangs extended the lead to 14 points in both the third and fourth periods before Cameron closed to within six in the closing minutes.
