LUBBOCK, Texas-- Midwestern State secured a 2-1 victory over Lubbock Christian Wednesday afternoon at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
The Mustangs improved to 5-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in Lone Star Conference action after the win.
Midwestern State takes on UT Tyler Saturday morning at Stang Park. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. The Patriots moved to 5-0-1 after playing St. Edward's to a scoreless draw on Wednesday.

Midwestern State opened the scoring when Madison Brinkley recorded her fifth goal of the season in the third minute, assisted by Allessandra Romano.
The Lady Chaps levelled the match on a goal from Avery Jennings in the 13th minute, assisted by Journey Curs and Ella Spiller.
Midwestern State went up 2-1 on Nyxalee Munoz's 83rd-minute goal, her third of the season. The score closed the 2-1 game.
