PORTALES, NM --The Midwestern State volleyball team took care of business in straight sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) to knock off the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Thursday on the road at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
The non-conference win improved the Mustangs' overall record to 4-5 on the season.
The Mustangs offense was paced by Isabella Dickens, who finished with 12 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .455, and by Riley Rabedeaux, who had 10 while hitting .364. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Jenna Redding's 18, 13 from Demi Stauffenberg, and 12 more from Amy Dewalt.

Midwestern State opened up as much as a nine point lead at 19-10 before closing out the set, collecting 19 kills in the process. The Mustangs racked up 19 kills over the course of the set.
SET 3 | Midwestern State then finished off the match with a victory in set number three. The Mustangs persevered in a back-and-forth set to win 25-21 in a stanza that featured five lead changes and was tied 10 times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than four points along the way.
