DENTON, Texas --The Midwestern State volleyball team took the first set, but couldn't hang on and lost in four sets (26-24, 22-25, 19-25, 20-25) to the Henderson State Reddies Saturday in the Denton Volleyfest at Kitty Magee Arena.
The non-conference loss dropped Midwestern State to 3-4 on the season.
The Mustangs were led by a double-double from Demi Stauffenberg, who registered 14 kills and 17 digs on the day. Riley Rabedeaux also added 15 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Amy Dewalt chipped in for with 19 digs to go with six blocks from Gabrielle Oos.
Midwestern State closes play in the Denton Volleyfest Saturday night against Arkansas-Fort Smith. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
