WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State got a pair of goals from Madison Brinkley in a 2-1 victory against Fort Lewis Thursday (Sept. 12) at Stang Park.Midwestern State improved to 3-0-0 overall following the win. The Mustangs start the season with three consecutive victories for the fourth time in program history and for the first time since 2010. MSU also posted a 3-0-0 record in 2004 and 2009.

Midwestern State started the scoring when Brinkley scored her fourth goal of the season in the 31st minute, assisted by Allessandra Romano.
The Mustangs increased their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Brinkley -- her fourth goal of the season -- in the 60th minute, assisted by Nyxalee Munoz.
Fort Lewis got on the board to make it a 2-1 game on Ashlyn Salas' 68th-minute goal, assisted by Amber Otts and Renee Juna. Neither team scored again in the game.
