MSU beats Lady Buffs, 1-0, earns home match in LSC quarterfinals

CANYON, Texas -- Kyndahl Britton of West Texas A&M committed a foul inside the penalty area, and Lexi Beck converted her third penalty kick of the season in the 63rd minute as Midwestern State defeated the Lady Buffs, 1-0, in the regular season finale at The Pitch on Friday afternoon.  Midwestern State improved to 10-3-5 overall and 6-2-5 in the Lone Star Conference. The Mustangs secured the No. 4 seed in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament and will host a quarterfinal match against No. 5-seeded St. Mary's at Stang Park on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Midwestern State took a 1-0 lead when Lexi Beck recorded her fourth goal of the season in the 63rd minute. Beck is 3-for-3 from the penalty spot this season and 6-for-6 on PKs for her career at MSU.
