PUEBLO, Colorado -- The Midwestern State men's basketball team got a 24-point showing from the bench, but fell 80-60 to the Colorado State-Pueblo ThunderWolves Sunday afternoon at Missari Arena.
The Mustangs (0-1) had two players score in double figures, led by Mason Gibson, who had 23 points and two steals. Antwan Taylor added 11 points off of the bench and Reggie Hill added three points and seven rebounds.

Midwestern State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 37-18 heading into halftime.
Colorado State-Pueblo kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 67-40 advantage before Midwestern State went on a 6-0 run to shrink the deficit to 67-46 with 6:43 to go in the contest. The Mustangs kept their comeback going, but Colorado State-Pueblo managed to hold on for the 80-60 win. Midwestern State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 17 of its 42 total points.
