Mustangs send Radecki to 400th coaching win in sweep of ECU

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State delivered coach Stephanie Radecki's 400th career coaching win with a sweep of East Central Tuesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum, taking down the Tigers, 25-11, 25-21, 25-22.

The out-of-conference win moved the Mustangs to 12-11 on the season.

The Mustangs were led by Demi Stauffenberg, who registered her eighth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs. Isabella Dickens also added eight kills and five total blocks, while Amy Dewalt led back row efforts with 14 digs.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Mustangs took control on the first point and never looked back to win the first set 25-11. Midwestern State led by as many as 15 points at 23-8 before finishing off the set. Midwestern State also supplemented their offense with four aces in the opening set.

SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Midwestern State put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-21 victory in set number two. The Mustangs never trailed by more than five points and grabbed the advantage for good at 22-21 in a set that featured 11 ties and six lead changes. The Mustangs racked up 17 kills over the course of the set. Midwestern State's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four East Central attacks in the stanza.

SET 3 | Midwestern State closed the match in a 3-0 sweep after grabbing set three. The Mustangs fell behind by as many as seven points at 20-13 before fighting back to win 25-22. Midwestern State jumped in front at 23-22 and hung on for a set win.
