WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State slipped four spots to No. 18 in the latest United Soccer Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon.
The Mustangs (9-1-3) played Dallas Baptist to a scoreless draw on Wednesday before rolling to a 2-0 win at Sul Ross State on Saturday.
MSU somehow fell behind a pair of teams it defeated earlier this season as the Mustangs were slotted behind No. 16 St. Mary's and No. 17 Southern Nazarene.
The Mustangs are one of 10 teams from NCAA Division II's Super Region Four receiving mention in the rankings. MSU is joined by No. 3 California State-Los Angeles, No. 5 UC Colorado Springs, No. 10 Western Oregon, No. 13 Fort Lewis (Colo.), No. 14 Point Loma (Calif.), No. 16 St. Mary's (Texas), No. 22 Cal Poly Pomona, and No. 25 Colorado State-Pueblo.
Chico State is also receiving votes.
Midwestern State has received mention in the last 121 USC polls dating back to 2013.
The Mustangs take on rival West Texas A&M Saturday afternoon in Canyon. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
