DENTON, Texas -- No. 25-ranked Midwestern State travels to Pioneer Soccer Park to face Texas Woman's after winning its first two conference matches last week and improving to 6-1-0 to start the season.

Cassidy Savoy's game winner as the Mustangs scored twice in the second half to hand UT Tyler its first loss of the season on Saturday, 2-1.
The Mustangs won their last meeting with TWU in overtime, 2-1, in the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament at Pioneer Soccer Park.
Beck provided the service that allowed
Allessandra Romano to head the game-winning goal into the upper right corner with eight seconds remaining. The game-winner seemed like déjà vu. In the 12th minute of the game, the Mustangs took their third corner kick. Beck drove her service to the back post from the left side, and Romano played the ball in the air to give MSU an early 1-0 lead.
Romano is leading the Lone Star Conference and is seventh in the nation with five assists in seven matches this season.
Freshman
Madison Brinkley leads the Mustangs and is third in the league with five goals this season. Savoy has four goals, and Munoz has three. Savoy and Munoz each have two game-winning goals this year.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Allison Dellis is second in the LSC with 5.86 saves per match, and she is third in the conference with a save percentage of .872. Dellis has played all 630 minutes in goal for the Mustangs and has a goals-against average of 0.86.
Midwestern State leads the all-time series with TWU, 18-9-5, and is 7-7-3 when visiting the Pioneers.
Texas Woman's is 4-2-0 to start the season but lost its conference opener at Angelo State on Saturday, 2-0. The Pioneers are 1-1-0 at home with a 1-0 win over Harding and a 2-0 loss to East Central.
Giselle Gutierrez and Bella Alfara each have two goals for TWU, which has outscored its opponents, 6-5. Celeste Beltran has two assists for the Pioneers.
Goalkeeper Amanda Farris is fourth in the conference with a goals-against average of 0.79, and she has a save percentage of .792 with three shutouts.
Midwestern State returns home Saturday for a 4 p.m. match at Stang Park against Angelo State.
