Midwestern State managed just two hits in the opener, but both, which came in a three-run third inning, proved productive.
Griffin drove in a run on a hard-hit ground ball off of SEU third baseman Alexis Massie's glove before

Kayla Bryant tied the game in the bottom of the first as the freshman drew a four-pitch walk and advanced to second on a ground out. She moved to third on a passed ball before scoring on Alli Monroe's groundout to third base.
Isom was brilliant in the second game, allowing a single unearned run in the top of the first on her way to her fifth complete game of the season.
SEU's Arianna Vidales took advantage of MSU's lone miscue of the game to stake the Hilltoppers to an early advantage.
She delivered a leadoff single up the middle, then stole her 25th base of the season coming around to score on
Bailey Brenek's errant throw to second.
Junior Cadie Belle Currie carried a shutout into the sixth inning for SEU on her way to a nine-strikeout performance.
Bailey Brenek broke up the shutout bid with an RBI-single to the left-field gap before
Kerris Cameron lined a two-run single to left field to give the Mustangs their second doubleheader sweep of the season.
