ADA, Okla. -- Midwestern State hits the road to face East Central (Okla.) for non-conference doubleheader Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Field. First pitches are set for 2 and 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT | No. 4 UT Tyler shut out Midwestern State three times sweeping the Mustangs 8-0 in five innings, 11-0 in five innings, and 7-0. UTT's Tatum Goff no-hit the Mustangs with 12 strikeouts in the opener, then Shea O'Leary fanned 10 in a one-hitter in Game No. 2. MSU's Sydney Shimkus led a seven-hit attack in the series finale with by going 2-for-3 with a double.

MUSTANGS TRACKS | Freshman Allie Monroe leads the Mustangs in batting average (.297), doubles (6), triples (1), home runs (2) and RBI (10)... Sophomore Sydney Shimkus recorded her fourth multiple-hit game of the season by going 2-for-3 with her first double in the finale at UT Tyler... Junior outfielder Grace Martinez produced her first hits of the season in both ends of the doubleheader Saturday at UT Tyler... Sophomore Zoe Isom limited the opposition to two earned runs over her last 11 2/3 innings to lower her season ERA to 8.95... Midwestern State has turned 12 double plays this season which are the second most in the Lone Star Conference... The Mustangs have scored more than four runs in three games this season, and have been shut out 11 times... MSU have managed to scored two-or-more runs in 14 of 178 innings played this season...

EAST CENTRAL (11-13, 8-6 GAC) | The Tigers are sixth in the Great American Conference with an 8-6 record, but are just two games out of a four-way tie for first... ECU has won 10 of its last 13 after starting the season at 1-10... Junior Gabi Quintanilla leads the Tigers' offense hitting .359 with two doubles, a homer, and right RBIs... Quintanilla rides a four-game hitting streak into the mid-week doubleheader against Midwestern State and has at least one hit in nine of her last 10 games... Senior Taia Harris boasts a 1.40 ERA over her last three starts allowing four earned runs on 15 hits over 20 innings with 21 strikeouts and two walks... Harris weaved a four-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over Southeastern Oklahoma on March 14...
