Mustangs visit Dustdevils in final road game of the season

LAREDO, Texas -- Midwestern State faces Texas A&M International in its final road game of the season. The Mustangs are making just their second-ever visit to the TAMIU Kinesiology and Convocation Building. Tip-off on Saturday is slated for 1 p.m.

LAST MEETING | Raiana Brown scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Texas A&M International defeated Midwestern State at TAMIU Kinesiology and Convocation Building in Laredo last season, 79-53. Hannah Reynolds set an MSU record with 10 blocks in the game, and Morgan Lenahan led the Mustangs with 19 points. Shawnisay Millar had seven points and five rebounds in the loss for Midwestern State.

LAST TIME OUT | Texas A&M-Kingsville's Jayde Tschritter found openings in the Midwestern State zone Thursday night at Steinke Center burying seven 3-points to finish with a game-high 25 points lifting the Javelinas to an 82-72 win. Midwestern State senior Mandy Withey scored a career-high 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting. She also grabbed six rebounds. MSU freshman Dyamon Griggs notched her eighth double-double of the season finishing with 23 points and a season-high 17 rebounds. Griggs became the first freshman in program history to score 20 points in five games. MSU junior Natalie Stice chipped in 15 points and knocked three 3-pointers while making two steals. Stice has scored 10-or-more points in 17 games this season.
