LUBBOCK, Texas -- Lubbock Christian used an efficient attack and a stifling defense to roll to a 25-14, 25-11, 25-16 win over Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference play Wednesday night at Rip Griffin Center.
The Lady Chaps, who had lost six of their last seven, snapped a two-match slide to improve 6-10 on the season and 2-3 in league play.
MSU committed 24 attack errors finishing the match with a .029 team attack percentage due in large to a strong third set. The Mustangs managed to break into positive numbers after recording 12 kills with just three errors in the final stanza.
Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian blitzed its way to a .293 team attack percentage putting down 37 kills and just 10 errors getting strong performances from freshman Lily Bickley (nine kills, one error), sophomore Aaliyah Gray (eight kills, three errors), sophomore Kiana Fallaha (seven kills, two errors), and senior Sage Chain (five kills, no errors).
The Lady Chaps also accounted for nine service aces and eight total blocks.

Kelli Ell led the Mustangs with seven kills, while freshman
Sadie Portmann had six and senior
Aaliyah Burras added five.

The Mustangs dropped their fourth straight match to fall to 3-14 and to 1-4 in league play.
Midwestern State enjoys a week off before facing Eastern New Mexico next Wednesday in Portales. First serve is set for 7 p.m. (Central Time).
