WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State is receiving votes in the latest American Football Coaches' Association Division II Poll released Monday afternoon.

The Mustangs (2-1) claimed wins over Eastern New Mexico and Michigan Tech following a season opening setback to Colorado State-Pueblo.

Midwestern State is one of nine teams from Super Region Four to receive mention in the poll joining No. 4 Angelo State, No. 13 Augustana (S.D.), and Colorado School of Mines.

West Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Sioux Falls (S.D.), Minnesota State, and Wayne State (Neb.) are receiving votes.

The Mustangs take on Simon Fraser (B.C.) in a Lone Star Conference game Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
