DENVER -- Garrett Leek delivered his 60th par-or-better score to highlight Midwestern State efforts in the final round of The Writz at Mile High Tuesday afternoon at Bear Creek Golf Club.

The senior from Brock accounted for three birdies -- all coming on par-4s at the second, fifth and 16th holes -- to finish with an even-par 72 to finish tied for 20th.

Leek rebounded from a 77 in the opening round to card par-or-better tallies of 70 and 72 for a 54-hole, 3-over total of 219.

His 60 par-or-better rounds rank second in program history behind former teammate and All American Jake Doggett, who logged 72 par-or-better scores from 2018-22.

Leek accounted for eight birdies and now has 394 in his career and needs 28 overtake Doggett (421) to become the program's all-time leader.

Senior Jake Leatherwood tied for 23rd with a 5-over total of 221 firing scores of 71, 75 and 75. The Snyder native finished on a high note logging three birdies to 1-under on the Back Nine.

Senior Mason Mikeska bounced back from a double bogey on the sixth hole to register four birdies over the next seven hole to finish with a final round, 1-over 73 to move in to a tie for 36th. The Waco native marked scores of 71, 81 and 73 for a 9-over total of 225.

Senior J.T. Boyd fired in three birdies in the final round to log a personal low round with a 1-over 73. The Quanah native (78-79-73) tied for 50th with a 14-over total of 230.

Junior Keaton Dickens (78-75-80) tied for 60th with a 17-over 233, while junior Kevin Yang (78-81-78) tied for 67th with a 21-over 237.

Colorado State-Pueblo (365-354-369) took team medalist honors with an 8-over total of 1,008, while Colorado Christian sophomore Adam Duncan (70-72-68) was the individual medalist with a 6-under total of 210.

Midwestern State returns to action from Oct. 3-4 in the West Texas A&M's Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational at the Amarillo Country Club.
