Mustangs add proven scorer in Natalie Stice for 2022-23

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State announced the addition of transfer Natalie Stice to the 2022-23 roster Monday afternoon.

The 5-7 guard from Tahoka, Texas averaged 10.1 points over 51 games while making 31 starts in her first two collegiate seasons at Eastern New Mexico.

"We are thrilled to add Natalie to our Mustang family," MSU coach Christopher Reay said. "She brings a wealth of experience to our team as a graduate transfer. Defensively, she is very quick and will help our team in covering gaps on the perimeter. Natalie can score at all three levels. She can finish at the rim as well as hit mid-range jumpers and from 3-point range."

Stice is set to graduate cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern New Mexico in May. She will have two remaining seasons of eligibility plans to work toward of Masters of Business Administration degree at Midwestern State.

Stice started all 24 games for the Greyhounds in 2021-22 scoring 13.3 points per game while grabbing 5.4 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game.

She scored in double figures in 19 games including a career high 21 points against Arkansas-Fort Smith on Jan. 8 and versus St. Edward's on Jan. 22.

In her first collegiate campaign, Stice averaged 7.3 points and 37.9 percent from the arc playing in 27 games while working her way into the starting lineup 11 times in 2019-20.

She served a redshirt season in 2018-19, then Eastern New Mexico did not compete during the 2020-21 season due to the coronavirus.

Stice enjoyed a standout prep career as a four-year starter at Tahoka High helping the Bulldogs to the playoff appearances. She was the District 5-2A most valuable player three times and was the league's newcomer of the year as a freshman in 2014-15. 

Stice was also the most outstanding player in the 2018 West Texas Coaches' Association's All Star game.

Midwestern State is coming off of a back-to-back winning campaigns and have advanced to the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament for each of the last five years.
