SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Midwestern State wins two of three doubles and five of six singles to take down St. Mary's 6-1. The 38th-ranked Mustangs remain atop the Lone Star Conference standings after defeating the 72nd-ranked Rattlers.

Corbin Ford move to a 5-1 record at doubles line two. The duo's 6-4 victory have Niklas Knoerr and Nicolas Llosa their second loss of the year.
Alex Martinez Roca and
Ben Westwick continued their streak at line one. The third-ranked pair slid by Jake Faryniarz and Pablo Munoz Baroja by a 7-6 (8-6) score. With the win, Martinez Roca and Westwick have five consecutive wins and a 16-1 record for the year.
In singles play,
Charles Heffernan grabbed his second victory of the week. The junior from Sydney, Australia, moves to a 7-4 tally at line five. His 6-1, 6-1 victory ended Oskar Irdoja's five-match win streak.Â
Westwick won his last three matches after defeating Munoz Baroja on Saturday. The junior is 5-2 at line three and 6-0 in Lone Star Conference play.
Martinez Roca gave Chad Nguyen his second loss of the week after securing a 6-0, 6-2 win. The No. 19 junior is 9-3 at line one and 5-1 in the LSC.
Bradshaw ended his four-match slide with a three-set victory over Faryniarz. The sophomore from Hoover, Ala., secures a 9-7 record at line two for the season.
Marcal Miret Avante and Nilklas Knoerr's three-set battle at line four went in favor of the Mustang freshman. Miret Avante's second win of the week ended Knoerr's three-match streak. He takes a 13-3 singles record with an undefeated 5-0 record at line four.
Midwestern State searches for its fourth consecutive win at Division IIIÂ Southwestern on Saturday. The Pirates and the Mustangs face off at Marvin D. Henderson, Sr. Tennis Courts in Georgetown, Texas. The first serve is set for 11 a.m.
