WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- No. 23 Midwestern State clinched eight straight wins with their 6-1 defeat of Emporia State on Monday. The Mustangs have not dropped a match since Feb. 19 and are undefeated in the month of March to go 10-3 on the season.

Emilija Visic started MSU with a victory at No. 2 doubles. The duo went 6-2 against Paige Sranghoner and Anastasia Pesic. Curry and Visic hold a 7-1 record and five match win streak.
No. 26
Anda Ghinga and
Hannah Yip also tallied a 6-2 score at the top spot. The pair defeated Viktoria Mackova and Karen Sanchez to claim their eighth straight win. Ghinga and Yip are 8-0 on the year.
Skylar Minns and
Sydney Williams secured the Mustangs' first point on their 6-4 victory at the third line. The duo won the fourth consecutive match with a 6-4 tally versus Micaela McSpadden and Kelsie Burr. Minns and Williams are 8-4 on the season.
Curry secured her fourth straight victory from the third singles line. The junior went 6-1, 6-0 against Sranghoner to post a 7-3 overall record. Curry is 6-2 at the third position.
Yip completed a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Pesic at the second spot. The freshman is 7-6 in all singles play.
Ghinga clinched her eighth win of the season from the No. 1 line. The sophomore pushed a 6-1, 6-2 score versus McSpadden for her 8-4 record.
Ethne Dowling secured a 6-4, 6-2 tally at the third spot against Sanchez. The junior is 6-3 in all singles play and 5-1 from No. 3.
Visic donned MSU's final point of the match with her 6-0, 6-1 victory over Andrea Sanchez. The sophomore continues her 5-0 run at No. 5 and eight match undefeated run.
Mackova overcame Minns by a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (12-10) score at the sixth spot. The sophomore holds an 8-3 record on the year.
Midwestern State is back in action on Tuesday, March 15 with a double header. The Mustangs face No. 15 Nebraska-Kearney at 10 a.m. and Hastings College at 2 p.m. Both matches will take place at MSU Tennis Center.
