WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State meets St. Edward's for a Lone Star Conference doubleheader Monday afternoon at Mustangs Park. First pitches are set for noon and 2 p.m.
The games were originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but the entire weekend slate was moved back a day due to frigid temperatures on Friday.
The games are set for broadcast on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network at MSUMustangs.com/streaming.

Hanna Hetherington launched two homers in her second consecutive game during Saturday's opener against St. Mary's. It has also her third straight game with a home run... HEAD COACH BRITTANIE TALLEY is in her first season at the helm of the Midwestern State program. Talley amassed a 129-75 record (.632) over the past five seasons at Vernon College including a 42-12 run while leading Chaps to the 2021 NJCAA regional tournament. That came on the heels of a 21-1 start in 2020 before the season was cut short by the pandemic. Prior to Vernon College, Talley played a role in a successful three-year run at Alabama State helping the Lady Hornets to a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) title and a trip to the NCAA Division I regionals in 2016. She competed professionally for the Skovde Saints winning the Swedish championship as the league's pitcher of the year in 2011. She enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Jackson State where she earned second-team All-SWAC honors earning 27 career wins while posting seven shutouts. She also hit .320 in 172 career at bats.

St. Edward's (10-8, 3-4 LSC) split its last two Lone Star Conference twin bills against Texas A&M International and Texas Woman's... The Hilltoppers rank ninth in the LSC in hitting (.306 team batting average), seventh in pitching (2.58 team ERA) and fourth in fielding (.974 team fielding percentage)... Freshman Megan Morris led SEU hitting .457 with nine doubles, a triple and 12 RBIs prior to the Saturday's twin bill at Texas Woman's... ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and St. Edward's meet for the 24th and 25th times on the diamond Monday afternoon at Mustangs Park. MSU owns a 12-11 edge in the series which dates back to the 2004 season. The Hilltoppers have won the last three meetings between the programs including a doubleheader sweep (6-4 and 6-3) last season in Austin. St. Edward's returns to Wichita Falls for the first time since taking losses to MSU in two separate invitationals. Kim Jerrick blasted three homers in a 7-0 win for Midwestern State on March 27 just a little more than three weeks after Elena Bennett extended her hitting streak to a program-best 18 games in a 13-5 run-rule in five innings on March 5 at Mustangs Park. Overall, Midwestern State is 3-1 against the Hilltoppers in Wichita Falls which also includes a split at the Sunrise Optimist Complex during MSU's inaugural season of 2004.
