MSU looks to end slide as it hosts Lubbock Christian at Stang Park

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - No. 8-ranked Midwestern State hopes to snap a three-game winless streak as it hosts Lubbock Christian for a Lone Star Conference clash Saturday at 3 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY | MSU leads, 7-0-4

LAST MEETING | Midwestern State controlled possession and kept the pressure on Lubbock Christian at LCU Soccer Field in a non-conference match, but the Mustangs settled for a scoreless draw on Sept. 24. Senior goalkeeper Marc-Antoine Huzen returned from a six-match absence due to injury. The native of Paris, France, wasn't forced into making a save to earn his 14th career clean sheet. Senior Brandon Martinez-Trelles and junior Sulahmana Bah combined for nine of the Mustangs' 16 shots.

LAST TIME OUT | Midwestern State was whistled for 21 fouls with 14 coming in the first half, and the Mustangs suffered a 1-0 loss at Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday night. The match featured nine bookings with five cautions shown to the Greyhounds, who committed a total of 13 fouls. Ben Sauerlander scored in the 43rd minute for ENMU. The Mustangs controlled a 60-40 edge in possession time resulting in a 16-6 advantage in shots. Junior Mere Escobar and freshman Eduardo Cerna managed three shots each to lead the Mustangs attack, while sophomore goalkeeper Adam Braman made two saves.
