WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State continued to receive votes in the latest edition of the American Football Coaches' Association NCAA Division II Poll released Monday afternoon.

The Mustangs rolled to a 48-27 win over Quincy (Ill.) on the road last weekend to claim their eighth consecutive season opening victory.

Midwestern State is one of 10 teams from Super Region Four to receive mention in the poll joining No. 7 Texas A&M-Commerce and No. 22 Angelo State out of the Lone Star Conference, while West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin are also receiving votes.

No. 3 Minnesota State and No. 20 Minnesota Duluth represent the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with Bemidji State (Minn.) receiving votes.

No. 9 Colorado School of Mines and No. 19 Colorado State-Pueblo garnered acclaim for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

MSU takes on No. 8-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce Saturday night at Choctaw Stadium -- formerly known as The Ballpark in Arlington as the home of the Texas Rangers. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
