EDMOND, Okla. -- Midwestern State sees a 1-1 start to the season after dropping by a goal to No. 10 University of Central Oklahoma on Saturday night.
Goalkeeper,
Taylor Camp, had a big night for the Mustangs. She made five saves in the first half on eight UCO shots. It kept the score line even up through half time for the two teams.
The Mustangs registered three shots in the first half with only one falling on target. Senior
Senna Garcia was the shooter in her only shot of the match.
The Mustangs got more offensive in the second half with four shots on three landing on goal.
Alyssa Salinas took her chance and was co-leader with two total shots. The junior was one of five players to play the full 90 for MSU.

Nicole Marsolek, Alex Sandlin and
Emilia Nunez join Salinas in playing the full game.
Kelly Cannistra landed both of her tries on frame in the second half and
Cassidy Savoy also put up two shots on goal for the Mustangs.
In the end, Kassidy Collins scored for UCO in the 79th minute with a low shot to the left. Time ran out before MSU could find the equalizer in their second match of the season.
Midwestern State moves on to host their first home game of the regular season. The team will face Colorado School of Mines in Stang Park on Friday, Sept. 10, with kick off set for 7 p.m.
