Mustangs bump ahead four spots to No. 11 in AFCA Division II Top 25

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State moved up four spots to No. 11 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 released Monday afternoon.

It is the Mustangs' highest ranking since coming in at No. 10 after improving to 6-1 with a 69-14 rout of Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 13, 2018.

This season, the Mustangs improved to 4-0 with a 31-24 overtime win against Eastern New Mexico Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

Midwestern State is one of 10 teams from Super Region Four to receive mention in the poll joining No. 5 Colorado School of Mines, No. 14 Augustana (S.D.), No. 17 Minnesota State and No. 22 Minnesota Duluth.

Western Colorado, Colorado Mesa, Angelo State, Texas A&M-Commerce and Colorado State-Pueblo are receiving votes.

Midwestern State takes on Central Washington Saturday night at Tomlinson Stadium in Ellensburg, Wash. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (Central Time).
