Amann garners second-team United Soccer Coaches' All-America honors

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State's Trevor Amann earned second-team NCAA Division II All-America honors as released by the United Soccer Coaches Wednesday afternoon.

The senior from Westminster, Colorado becomes the ninth MSU student-athlete to earn USC All-America honors and the first since Pierre Bocquet and Scott Doney earned accolades following the 2017 season.

Amann adds his name to a legendary list of Mustangs to earn United Soccer Coaches' All-America honors joining Ahmad Ihmeidan (2007, 2008), Allen Thompson (2009), Ryan Spence (2010, 2011), Albert Rodriguez (2015), Flavio Guzman (2015, 2016), Christian Okeke (2016), Bocquet (2017) and Doney (2017).

Amann became the third MSU player to gain South Central Region Player of the Year accolades from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association last week following Daniel Brown in 2007 and Raul Herrera in 2010.

Amann, also a two-time Lone Star Conference Player of the Year, set career highs with 16 goals and six assists ranking 11th in NCAA Division II scoring 0.84 goals per match and was ninth in the nation with two points per game.

He earned first-team all-conference honors in four of his five collegiate seasons spending her first two campaign at Colorado School of Mines. He was a second-team All-South Central Region performer as a sophomore in 2017 for the Orediggers finishing with eight goals and two assists.

Amann was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2016 ending season with 13 goals.

Amann closed his collegiate career ranked third on the NCAA Division II active career leader list with 49 goals and in total points with 117. He also dished out 19 assists in 89 career matches.
