WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Kelly Cannistra had an impressive night at Angelo State as the senior sealed the deal with 30 seconds left in the match. The senior notched both goals in Midwestern State's 2-1 victory in their final match of the Lone Star Conference regular season. The Mustangs finish at a 12-3-3 overall record and 9-1-3 in the LSC.

Cannistra's first strike found the back of the net in the second half to put the visitors up by one. Isabella Cruz completed her third assist on the goal. The freshman added two goals for seven points in 18 matches. She posted a three-match point streak with the helper.

Grace Jordan evened the score in the 74th minute for her fifth goal. Valerie Solis earned her eighth assist on the season.

After regulation and the final overtime expired, Cannistra had 30 seconds left in the second overtime period to notch the win. The forward reached the top of the MSU list, leading in goals (8) and points (17). Cannistra registered her third game winner of the season.

The MSU defense handled Angelo State's 18 shots and 7 shots on goal. The Mustang offense found nine attempts and put five on frame. Lauren Freeman collected six stops to put her at 33 total for the season. Kira Miller made three saves for the Belles.

Midwestern State begins LSC Championship play with the first round opening on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The No. 2 Mustangs will host seven-seeded Texas A&M-Commerce at Stang Park. Kick-off is set at 7 p.m. in the postseason match.
