WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State added former Elon University defender
JP Meibohm on Friday afternoon as part of their 2020 signing class.
"JP is a very experienced defender," coach
Michael Meachum said. "We have always been known as a good defensive team and program, and JP is going to help us continue that tradition."
In two seasons at Elon, the 6-3 defender appeared in 21 games and helped the Phoenix post five shutouts. He totaled two assists in over 1,100 minutes of action.
"He is a good athlete with a good soccer mind," said Meachum. "We are going to be looking for him to come in and strengthen our defense right away."
Meibohm is no stranger to the South Central region, having started his career at Fort Lewis. He made an immediate impact with the Skyhawks, anchoring a defense that recorded six shutouts. He also scored a goal and added an assist.
