Taylor Lampe posted his first clean sheet of the season with a five-save performance in the season opener. The junior keeper has recorded 18 shutouts in his career to move within three shutouts of tying the program record of 21 set by Raul Herrera (2005, 2009-2010).

Michael Meachum kicked off his second year as Head Coach at Midwestern State with a 2-0 win over Dixie State on September 5 at Stang Park. The former long-time assistant under the legendary
Doug Elder posted a 16-1-3 mark in his first season at the helm.

After Vinzent Zingel scored the equalizer in the 76
th minute, the ThunderWolves conceded two goals in the final five minutes in a 3-1 season opening loss to #9 West Texas A&M on September 5. The ThunderWolves posted a 5-11-2 mark in 2018.
