Mark Ryal enters his third season as the head coach of the Maroon and Gold. The former Major Leaguer has led the Mustangs to a 41-55 (.427) record and a pair of ninth place finishes in the LSC.
 
Home Magic?
MSU Texas snapped an 11-game home losing streak last week with a midweek doubleheader sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State. After a 1-14 stretch at home a season ago, the Mustangs have doubled their win total from 2018.
 
Clear the Mechanism
The Mustangs were shut out in three consecutive games for the first time in program history. Texas A&M-Commerce pitching held MSU Texas to 8-for-59 (.136) with no extra base hits. The Maroon and Gold have gone scoreless for the last 17 innings and hitless for the last five.

Lindgren Picks Up Hit No. 100
Junior outfielder Lauren Lindgren recorded her 100^th career hit in the top of the sixth in the Feb. 9 win over Missouri Southern. The Denton product drove a one-out RBI single back up the middle to score Eropkin and stretch the Mustangs lead to 4-1.
 
In three seasons with the Maroon and Gold, Lindgren ranks 13^th all-time with a .337 career average, ninth with a .542 slugging percentage and 14^th with a .391 career OBP.
