WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Second seeded Midwestern State will battle the third seeded Texas A&M International Dustdevils on Friday night in the Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinals after the Dustdevils slipped past West Texas A&M, 1-0, in a quarterfinal match on Tuesday night in Laredo, Texas.
In the regular season, the Mustangs defeated the Dustdevils 3-2 in double overtime on
Sergio Lara's golden goal in the 106th minute.
In the day's other quarterfinal match, No. 4 St. Edward's upended No. 5 Lubbock Christian 1-0 to earn a date with No. 1 St. Mary's.
Friday's game is set for 5 p.m. from Sigma Beta Chi Field in San Antonio, Texas.
