WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Texas A&M International came out of the gate firing Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Dustdevils claimed the first six points on the way to take an early lead, then rode Mackenzie Catalina's 22-kill effort to a four-set win over Midwestern State.

Valerie Armstrong said. "We just need to re-focus and do what we have to do."
The loss prevented the Mustangs from completing a three-game sweep this week as Midwestern had won of their last five including victories over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday and Friday against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Texas A&M International used five service aces to fuel a 25-23 win in the first set, then Midwestern battled back to claim the second set 25-21. The Dustdevils the closed out the match with wins over 25-17 and 25-16. TAMIU has now won two of its last three after snapping a nine-match skid.
Senior
Sarah Eakin paced the Mustangs with kills, while
Rockelle Gholson notched a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs.
Annie Deininger added 10 kills, while Carly Unruh had seven kills and six total blocks.
Midwestern, who dropped to 7-15 overall and 4-8 in Lone Star Conference play, hits the road to take on Angelo State on Friday and Lubbock Christian on Saturday.
Texas A&M International improved to 4-15 and 2-10.
