WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Lauren Honeycutt blasted 10 kills and hit a career-high .615 to lead the Mustangs to a sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday night inside D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
"I think the sets were amazing," Honeycutt said. "I was feeling it."
The sophomore collected all three set points and added four blocks.
MSU completed the sweep with 25-17, 25-18, and 25-19 wins.
"We executed our game plan tonight," MSU coach
Valerie Armstrong said. "I am so proud of the team."
Janiya Chapman also added 10 kills white hitting .421. MSU hit a season best .369.
"The girls are coming together," Armstrong said. "We have worked hard to get to this point."
