WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Freshman
Taylor Anderson set a new career high with 12 kills as Midwestern State took No. 19 Tarleton State down to the wire in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-15) setback on Saturday at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The match featured 31 ties and 18 lead changes in a back-and-forth tilt.

Raven Presley combined for 32 of the team's 35 kills. Sophomore
Sarah Glawe dished out 30 assists, a three-set high for the Mustangs this season. Freshman
Samantha Manio snuffed out 12 attacks from the TexAnns, setting a new personal-high in three set matches this season.
Neither side was able to string points together in the first set. The TexAnns expanded the lead to three twice in the set that featured eight lead changes. Tied at 22, a 3-0 run by TSU closed out the first set.
A 3-0 run by the TexAnns in the middle of the second set proved to be the difference as both teams exchanged points down the stretch in the second 25-22 decision.
Up 10-9 in the third set, the wheels began to fall off for the Mustangs. TSU strung together a 14-2 run, including a 7-0 stretch to close out the frame and the match.
